My Favorite Corners of the Internet :)))
Hey friends. Expect an extreme visual overhaul in the coming future as i move the rest of my links over here :)
I've been dedicating my time to discovering niche and unique internet spaces. These past few years I realized that I've been opening my computer and questioning how I even had fun on the internet when I was younger. As much as I ENJOY social media and often indulge in doom scrolling after a long day of work- it doesn't fulfill me. Finding these corners of the internet, often made by one single person, feels so intimately human, despite the distance that we have with each other. Which I feel like is what really drew me to internet spaces in the first place.
I remember how much fun learning how to code on my first blog was, sharing that with my friends, and learning that from people that I met in online spaces! And now seeing the vast amount of creativity on the indie web deeply inspires me to keep searching for more.
What is incredibly encouraging is how EASY it is to find new and unique spaces online through finding ONE cool webpage. Online communities are incredibly loud and proud of the people that they interact with- which 1) makes it SO easy for me and fun for me to find things to do and 2) has made me realize that the internet spaces + culture that we grew up with are absolutely still around.

I have to say that Alienmelon's work really is such a treat. I just happened to stumble upon them while I was working on an assignment in grad school. This was such a great random find haha. I really hold this one near and dear to my heart. Expect to be greeted with chaos in the best way possible.
